Countrywide opens 100th new lettings office in 14 months

Countrywide the UK’s largest lettings agent and property services group has opened its 100th new lettings office in 14 months.

This continued expansion is part of an ongoing programme to open up lettings departments in estate agency offices across the country.

In 2010, Countrywide made an investment of £5m in launching a lettings service model to maximise the power of Countrywide’s 1,300 offices. Targeted not just at individual tenancies and first time landlords, but also catering for investors with significant buy-to-let portfolios.

As part of this expansion Countrywide has recruited over 235 new lettings personnel over the period; with lettings businesses now in operation across the country from Penzance to Glasgow, Cardiff through to Norwich.

Nick Dunning, Commercial Director at Countrywide said;

“Despite the challenges in the residential market, the rental market has continued to go from strength to strength, with new tenant applications continuing to grow at record levels. We have continued to invest heavily in our infrastructure, both in sales and lettings, with plans to open many more lettings offices next year.”
