The campaign comes from people across the country and Countrywide has joined forces with organisations from every corner of the property sector to make the collective voice heard. Alongside colleagues from organisations such as National Housing Federation, the Chartered Institute for Housing and Crisis, Countrywide are calling for the Government to put housing back where it belongs – at the top of the political agenda.
Countrywide believes that everyone deserves the right to a roof over their heads and as the largest estate agency and property services Group, they are proud to move more people than any other organisation in the UK.
However, Countrywide can only help people find the right home if the Government commits to recognising housing with the same importance. This is why Countrywide are calling for the new Government to commit to publishing a long-term plan for housing within one year of coming to office.
The Homes for Britain campaign will culminate in a housing rally on the doorstep of Government at Westminster Hall in March. This event will see thousands people coming together in the heart of Westminster for the biggest housing rally in a generation to urge the parties to back our call.
There are a number of ways the public can get involved with the campaign. Register your support for the cause now by visiting the Homes for Britain website here and write to your local parliamentary candidate. These candidates will have the power to make our collective ask a reality, so make sure your voice is heard.
