Halifax report the Fastest house price rise in 9 years

According to the Halifax, house prices increased by 9.5% during 2015, the most dramatic yearly increase since 2006.

Buy to let homes face higher stamp duty

The chancellor has announced that people buying second homes will have to pay a higher rate of stamp duty. From April 2016 an extra 3% surcharge will be added to each stamp duty band.

Osborne’s Autumn Statement
