The recent quality of life report released by the Halifax provided some interesting statistics. The annual report gave a low-down on which areas in the UK provide the best standards of living.  It took into account factors such as; education, life expectancy, and weather conditions.

Although many media pundits focused on the fact that most of Britian’s 50 ‘best’ places to live were located in the South East, a deeper delve into the research provides some interesting food for thought.

Indeed, if you are thinking of moving in 2012 and want to re-locate to a whole new area of the UK, the following information (and properties) may prove interesting……

According to the Halifax, Darlington is the local authority district with the highest percentatge of 15 year olds with 5 or more A-C grade GCSEs. This pretty 4 bed Darlington property located next to a golf course offers space and comfort. Pendle in the North West is named the area with the lowest house prices to earnings ratio and this gem of a property is a slice of history at a bargain price.
