Mum and Dad continue to bankroll their kids’ property purchases

Recent research from Legal & General has revealed that the ‘bank of mum and dad’ lends £5bn each year to help their children get a foot on the property ladder.

Property stock levels at 14 year low

According to the National Association of Estate Agents, the number of homes available to buy on the open market is currently the lowest it has been for 14 years.

House prices rose by 6.1% in the year to September 2015, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
