The spotlight’s on Shakespeare’s hometown…
In honour of William Shakespeare’s birthday on 23rd April and with the first performance of a two-year worldwide tour of Hamlet taking place also this week, we’re featuring some fantastic properties in his hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon.
Set in the beautiful rural Warwickshire countryside, on the banks of the river Avon, the market town of Stratford-upon-Avon is well known for its rich culture and history dating back over 800 years. Some buildings that Shakespeare himself would have been familiar with still remain today, including the 16th-century half-timbered house situated in Henley Street where Shakespeare was born and the King Edward VI grammar school where he studied.
Featured below is just a sample of the many traditional and modern homes for sale this week in Stratford-upon-Avon.
